BIRCOparksafe®: The new drainage solution for parking spaces
Safe and barrier-free parking - this is what the new BIRCOparksafe® in construction width 160 now offers as an efficient drainage solution for multi-storey and underground car parks. Thanks to its monolithic design, annoying rattling noises are prevented when driving over it. The open design not only ensures easy cleaning and maintenance. With an installation height of just 50 mm, the new drainage system is quick and easy to install. "A low installation height is particularly important in underground and multi-storey car parks. Here, the BIRCOparksafe® is an ideal solution for new builds or renovations, with a drainage capacity of 2.2 litres per second that drains rainwater or meltwater quickly and safely," says Arnaud Esther, Product Manager at BIRCO.
Stable and sustainable: pure concrete
High-quality C 35/40 concrete with a low weight of just 14 kilograms per running metre of drainage channel ensures the usual BIRCO stability up to load class C 250. "With the BIRCOparksafe®, we offer a lightweight, flexible and, above all, sustainable solution. It is the first channel system for multi-storey and underground car parks made of pure concrete, without additives such as steel or glass fibre and synthetic resins. That was our focus: an elegant and efficient solution made of durable and long-lasting material that is easy to reuse in the circular economy and 100 per cent recyclable," explains Product Manager Esther. In addition to the low weight, design highlights such as the ribbed edges for better adhesion to the in-situ concrete ensure easy installation. The dimpled surface reduces the risk of slipping and the 18 mm slot width ensures barrier-free accessibility and manoeuvrability for wheelchairs, walking frames, etc.
Special yet versatile
The BIRCOparksafe® drainage channel can also be used variably in other areas. Thanks to its simple and flexible installation, elegant design and accessibility, façade and garden drainage, for example, are further application options.
